Job Facts:
As a Bio-production Engineer you will work in the Manufacturing Science Laboratory to provide technical support. You will work to the monoclonal antibodies production in Basel. This include experimental support for deviations or manufacturing investigations, process troubleshooting, raw material evaluation, support of validation programs, exploration of process design space and continuous process improvement.
• Primarily responsible for hands on execution of purification experimental work in the Manufacturing Science laboratory. Tasks include buffer and solution preparation, column chromatography, filtration, analytical assays (SDS-Page and protein quantitation). Experience using AKTA purification systems (Pilot, AVANT, Explorer and/or Purifier) would be a plus.
• Contribute and maintain best lab practices.
• Participate in investigation relating process improvements, process monitoring and non-conformances.
• Develop process knowledge and ownership.
• Assist more senior engineers in providing technical support and analysis for the resolution of deviations, investigations and process issues.
• Generate documents (technical memos and reports, protocols, etc.,) related to process improvements, process monitoring and non-conformances.
• Keep abreast of new developments/technologies in areas of purification processing. Attend and present at external technical forums to remain current with technology and regulatory guidelines.
