We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join the Biomarker Development Department within Development Sciences and support the development of novel therapeutics for respiratory disease. Our department is responsible for defining biomarker strategies, designing and implementing biomarker assays, and interpreting biomarker results. Our group uses relevant biomarkers to evaluate disease heterogeneity (patient subgroups), target-engagement, mechanism of action, and disease modification, and to guide clinical diagnostic biomarker development. Biomarker team leaders within the department provide scientific leadership for biomarkers in clinical trials ranging from early proof-of-concept through global Phase III.

Applicants must have a MD in Immunology, or a related field with at least 3 to 5 years of industrial or relevant academic experience. Preferred applicant will have prior experience in respiratory indications, a demonstrated ability to form academic collaborations and/or function as part of a cross-functional team with significant experience working on clinical trial project teams. Strong writing and communication skills are required, as evidenced by publications, meeting abstracts and/or drug development reports.
